As I mentioned in my previous post I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of wildlife at Center Parcs. The feeders in front of the hide were especially good. At least 1 lesser redpoll was about.
Which was joined by the many siskin.
As you can see most the photos were unfortunately on the feeders and not very natural looking. However I got a few more distant shots on the trees with some species, including the siskin.
Also at the feeders was this coal tit. It was only species I got reasonably close off the feeders.
This greater spotted woodpecker demonstrated its long tongue getting at the fat balls.
But it wasn’t all mammals. This muntjac deer was eating the fallen seed beneath the more distant feeders.
The hide wasn’t the only place to find wildlife. This wood pigeon posed on the tree right next to our out balcony!
And there were some tame rabbits in places.
I also came across this robin.
Not bad for a ‘non-wildlife’ trip!
