On a recent visit to Bowers Marsh I was enjoying the singing skylarks and corn buntings as I walked along the path when I realised one of the corn buntings was singing in a hawthorn bush ahead. Unfortunately it was between me and the sun. I took some shots (which didn’t really come out) and tried to carefully walk past it. Remarkably it stayed put as it was busy singing. I managed to go past it to a point with the sun a pretty good direction to light the bird and got my best of shots of this species.
