On visit to RSPB Rainham Marshes in April I saw 2 stoats, one of which was right in front of me, but I couldn’t get a clear shot of it in the reeds and grass. There was a silver lining however, as it scared one of the common lizards up into the reeds, where it posed showing it’s wonderful orange belly!
I also spotted this marsh frog.
From the hide I saw this grey heron. The light was at an awkward angle so I tried something a bit different.
I had visited the reserve for one main reason, and that was to see my first ever public photo exhibition, which was up in the first hide.
