Today at Wat tyler, I got told there was a wheatear in the car park. So I grabbed my gear and headed out to have a look. I grabbed some record shots before it flew to the nearby gravel.
I managed to creep quite closely by laying on my belly doing a pretty decent seal impression to move closer!
The laying down paided off, as it seemed pretty unfazed by me and posed for some shots.
Although it was very approachable, it seemed healthy and was feeding well.
I took the above with my Sigma 150-500mm but had a crack with my 300mm prime later on, I’ll post those photos soon.
