Last Autumn I came across this scene of a garden spider eating a pair of ruddy darters. I have more from this scene, which I’ll post at a later date.
A nice recent find in my garden was this Corizus hyoscyami plant bug I intially thought it was a fire bug, but turned out to be this other lovely species.
Ive had a number of hawthorn shield bugs Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale in my garden recently. This posed for a few photos
Plenty of garden spiders around at the moment, so while in Wat Tyler Park I decided to get a few shots of some with my wide angle and my macro.

Some more fox action from my garden. Fox walking round, spotting us in the house and jumping a 6ft fence! fox jumps fence 8-1-13 from Neil Phillips on Vimeo.
My Bushnell Trophy Cam HD Max arrived yesterday so I put it up in the garden to see if I could capture the local fox and got this. Not bad, I’ll place it lower down in future. Im trying out the stills feature tonight so will probably have more to say tomorrow.
