A few photos form back in March taken at Kent Wildlife Trust’s Oare Marshes Nature reserve. The reserve is a fantastic place to see birds, but they are rarely close enough to get a decent shot, even with a 500mm lens, as it is very busy and a lot of the folk there have dogs off the lead (why do they choose this at a nature reserve rather than somewhere that they will cause little harm I don’t know). But for the first time ever (and since) when I have a visited there were some waders feeding pretty near to the gate in field to the West of the road, some black-tailed godwit.
The light wasn’t great, but I got a few nice shots.
Great photos. I love godwits!
