A few more from Lanzarote. Having hired a car the second day of exploring lead us the Salinas del Janubio where the bird reports said black stilts occured, something I had never seen in the wild before. After a short walk along the coastal side of the lake I spotted some. With some careful stalking and hiding behind derelict buildings and walls I got some ok shots.
There were juveniles too.
Another nice find was this curlew sandpiper.
There were some Berthelot’s pipits
Back at the apartment I had another go at some spanish sparrows.
