Last October I had a holiday in Lanzarote, where I saw lots of interesting wildlife, much of which posed for some photos. One species that took a bit of work to get a photo of was the trumpeter finch Rhodopechys githaginea.
This species feeds on seeds and early some mornings could be found in small groups on the beach feeding on the seeds there.
I never managed a good shot of one in the sun, as it was either cloudy or they were not around. Still I put up the ISO and got some nice photos of this pretty little bird.
