While at Rainham Marshes we noticed a fair few male migrant hawkers patrolling territories. The light wasn’t great and neither was the angle from the boardwalks so we didn’t bother with them. But then we found a spot where we could get to their level with the sun behind us, only for the sun to disappear. Using my Sigma 150-500mm it is best to shoot at f8 so I couldn’t really increase the aperture so had to increase the iso to 1600 to get a decent enough shutter speed. It worked out ok!
I obviously had to use a bit of noise reduction but the detail is still there! At the risk of sounding like a gear head the sensor in my K-5 is amazing!
Great shots. Well done!
