After visiting Epping Forest and Cornmill Meadows (see the last post) we headed for Bedfords Park. It rained for the first couple of hours before beautiful sunshine emerged. A quick look for wasp spiders was fruitless but we found this lovely common toad (Bufo bufo) crawling across the path.
I sadly don’t see toads often, at least in daylight, so I tried a number of shots: close up
And a wide angle, which is my favourite of the 4.
On the other side of the lake I got as low down as possible to get this shot of a moorhen with a reflection.
I love your Toad photos (well, all the photos really, they’re beautiful). I fell for the toads though because I haven’t seen one in the UK for years.
