A couple of weeks ago the turtle doves were posing well, for turtles doves at least. Sadly the sun was elusive, and the turtles were never in a good position when it was out. Still I got a few shots in the cloudy conditions.
As well as Razorbills I also had a go at Guillemots in flight and got a couple of ok shots.
While at RSPB Bempton I had a good go at photographing the auks as they flew past. I took plenty of photos, but the condition were not great, as the sun was absent most of the afternoon I was there. Still I managed a couple of razorbills that were ok.
While at RSPB Bempton Cliffs last week, there was a small area where the gannets were sitting near the top of the cliff. Here I managed to catch a pair courting with their beaks and neck stretched upwards. I also saw 2 courting one behind the other. Sadly the shot is ruined somewhat by that…
