Coal tit
A quick photo of a coal tit.
More shots from Kefalonia. On a trip up Mount Aenos, I kept hearing a call in the trees that sounded familiar, but I just couldn’t work out what it was. Then this chap came down. A firecrest! Great to see and it/they posed for a few shots. Due to their constant movement and staying in…
A few shots from the start of January, on a sunny day in Raphael’s Park. The was not much around and sun was at an awkward angle so tried for some photos of common birds in flight. The woo pigeon came out ok, except for the background! I also tried a few of the black…

Back in March I popped into Seahouses on the way back from Scotland, to photograph the resident eiders there and got my best shots yet of this species. A male posed nicely in the harbour. And a group came close outside the harbour wall. The female posed nicely too.
A few shots from back in the summer. Some bread had been thrown on the floor and I noticed some magpies hanging around. So I settled down in the shade nearby and waited. Corvids are usually wary and there is no exception at Wat Tyler Park so I had to stick on the teleconvertor and/or…
On saturday I popped up to Reculver in North Kent. it was high tide so I didn’t make it to the beach, but in the grass around the castle and car park there were a number of waders. Most of them turned out to be golden plovers. There was also a dunlin. Which poked its…
