As some of you are aware, I recently started running photography tuition sessions at Norsey Woods, Billericay and Wat Tyler Country Park, Pitsea. The first was the photographing wildflowers and insects at Norsey Woods yesterday.
The site is the densest bluebell wood in the country and photographing these a large part of the morning and there are a number of wood ant colonies on the site too, so we spent some time photographing them. I didn’t end up taking any photos myself though those attending seemed to get some nice shots.
I did however get some nice photos when I scouted the site out the previous week for a ‘couple of hours’ and got so into my photography, 4 hours passed before I realised the time! Here are the better bluebells and wood ants.

The next course I’m running will be Photographing Dragonflies and Butterflies. details of which are at this link http://www.wattylercountrypark.org.uk/index.aspx?articleid=5039
