A quick post with the other photos from Mounda beach. There was a large antlion, probably Palapares sp. And the smaller Euroleon sps. There was an individual of both the ringed plover species on the beach. Ringed plover Little ringed plover It was a beautiful sunny day. The balkan wall lizards were basking.
Driving to Glen Shee, we passed plenty of red grouse and we stopped to photograph an number of those in photographic postions. I managed to get one making that fantastic call. A few were wandering around the ski resort car park. We also passed a golden plover, which I managed one ok photo of.
On saturday I popped up to Reculver in North Kent. it was high tide so I didn’t make it to the beach, but in the grass around the castle and car park there were a number of waders. Most of them turned out to be golden plovers. There was also a dunlin. Which poked its…
