Saw this large caterpiller in the garden yesterday sept. 5th. have now found out it is a Privet hawk moth, loving the forsythia bush, have taken photo of it. any interest to you?
Hello there, You’ve done an incredible job. I will definitely digg it and personally recommend to my friends. I am sure they’ll be benefited from this site.
‘Our’ Privet Hawk moth caterpiller has just dug a hole in the soil of his container. I wondered how moist the soil should be. Do they really over-winter as pupae? The second one is growing a pace and we’d like both to become moths. Will this happen (all being well) next year?
Thanks for your help
