On Sunday I popped up to Bonsai Bank at Denge Woods in Kent and found my first ever Duke of Burgandy Butterflies, after failing to find them there last year.
This butterfly is one of the fastest declining in the UK, declining 46% in the last 10 years. The small colonies around Denge woods are all that is left in Kent.
It was a warm day and I didn’t arrive on the site until midday so they were pretty flighty.
These are fabulous shots Neil – when we next get a rainy day I shall be having a good look around your site! Keep up the fantastic work!
